Access Progress Notes

You can access Progress Notes in a variety of ways, depending upon your role or discipline.

Use the main menu:

New Menu: Chart (Clinical Module) > Notes > Your role or discipline (restorative, therapy, dietary, social services, activities)


 

Progress Notes can also be accessed from My Dashboard by clicking the Progress Note icon.

The Progress Notes screen displays.


Add a New Note

Click Add Progress Note:

Select the Type of progress note and choose whether to set that type as the default type for each time you create a note.

You have the option to work from a pre-set template. After choosing a Template, click apply.

Enter applicable information.

Enter Note.

Click Save.

 

Copy a Previous Note

Click Copy next to the note you want to copy.


Make any changes or additions to the note.

Enter applicable information.

Click Save when finished.


Create a Note from a Template

Click Add Progress Note:


The Note field displays.

To create a note from a template, click the arrow to the right of Template, and select an option from the drop down menu. Click apply.

Make any necessary changes to template.

Enter applicable information.

Click Save when finished.


Make a Correction to an Existing Note

Click Make Correction next to the Note you wish to correct:


Note field displays, allowing you to edit.

Correct the Note as needed.

Click Save.

 

If you wish to edit a note created by another user, you need to have permission. If you are not able to correct another user's note, the Make Correction button will be greyed, as shown below.
